About the Role:

As a Staff Developer, Backend - Platform at KOHO, you will be a solution-oriented technical leader in the organization. Most of your time will be spent by enabling developers and teams in the delivery of frameworks and tools accelerating our teams productivity and velocity. You will also lead initiatives at the department level with cross-domain impact.

What You’ll Do:

  • Define and evolve the technical vision of Platform owned domains.
  • Define, lead, and actively contribute as a developer to the technical debt roadmap of the Platform owned domains.
  • Partner with managers and enable teams in the Platform owned domains by reviewing solution designs, providing a holistic view across all initiatives in the domain, and improving developer experience
  • Lead initiatives in the organization with cross-domain impact
  • Contribute to the Tech organization best practices
  • Review department-level solution designs and architecture decision records
  • Influence, mentor, and sponsor members in the Tech organization
  • Participate in rotating on-call duties and incident management

Who You Are:

  • You are passionate about and have proven experience with documentation initiatives
  • You have experience at a remote-first organization
  • You have extensive experience with Golang, Java, C#, or similar backend programming language
  • You have extensive experience with REST APIs
  • You have experience designing and building frameworks and productivity tools at scale
  • You have experience defining and leading technical roadmaps
  • You have experience improving developer experience
  • You have experience with micro-service architecture and distributed systems
  • You have led others in a technical capacity
